Queens Road: Welcome Event and Carers Fair

I would like to warmly invite you to join us for a celebratory event in our new surgery building on Tuesday 7th February 2017 3pm – 4pm.

Now that we have been at 136 Meeting House Lane for almost 2 months we want to take the opportunity to thank the people – especially our Patient Participation Group – who have helped us to move. We will also be sharing information about the services provided at the surgery and in our community.

The program will include:

  • Opportunity to meet the surgery team and guided tours of our new building
  • Mini health checks and flu vaccines for eligible patients
  • A presentation by Southwark Carers about the support that they offer.
  • Information from Age UK about staying warm and well in the winter and their Safe and Independent Living (SAIL) project.

I do hope that you will be able to attend!

Kind regards, Edward Drake.

AT Medics accept caretaker contract for Falmouth Road Group Practice

AT Medics commenced its caretaker management contract for Falmouth Road Group Practice on 16 January 2017.

With extensive experience in clinical turnaround, AT Medics has embraced the challenges existing at Falmouth Road and has deployed an experienced team for mobilization and to tackle the prevalent issues head-on.

NHS England met with patients to listen to their views about the future of GP services at the practice. Patients shared their feedback which focused on very poor access, inadequate practice management and unsatisfactory customer service. AT Medics is pleased to have accepted the caretaker contract, and is committed to delivering a high standard of service beyond caretaking. Falmouth are currently placed in Special Measures by the CQC, however AT Medics are determined to work hard to raise Falmouth out of to a similar standard of the other AT Medics practices.

Falmouth Road Group Practice is located in Southwark. AT Medics is a GP led primary care provider based in London, focused on delivering high quality, accessible primary healthcare services.

AT Medics work has included working in some of the most deprived areas in London and increasing access and provision successfully. They have also worked in difficult, poorly performing practices and have rapidly improved performance and efficiency, as well as developing and retaining a steady team.

Rachel Doherty, the Primary Care Commissioning Manager quoted”The CCG recognises the amount of work that AT Medics has completed since taking over the practice to improve services for patients and to prepare for the CQC inspections. We do really appreciate the effort that you have made to make the required improvements at the practice.”
